August 4, 2014: Tom Kurfess of Georgia Tech introduces the state of the art in 3D printing, for industrial, home, and bioengineering fronts. Speaking to the concept of additive manufacturing, he remarks that a paradigm shift is in play e.g. objects could be built ready for assembly rather than having to remove pieces to connect (e.g. drilling holes for screws). Part of "Manufacturing Success: 3D Printing Standards" held by ACS Science & the Congress on Capitol Hill.
